Siloam Springs, AR: Online Market is Open!
The online market will continue to operate year round. Saturday, April 25th is the last day for pick up to be located at the Main Street Conference Room. Beginning Saturday, May 2nd, all online orders will be available for pick up at the outdoor market.
White River Creamery cheese will be available through online ordering only. Make sure you check out the great variety of cheeses available online each week and place an order by Wednesday at 5 p.m. to ensure it will be at the market for pick up on Saturdays.
Opossum Hollow Produce will not be listing a produce and herb inventory this week so they can have plenty to bring to Opening Day on April 28th. They will have their farm fresh eggs listed online.
One week from Tuesday the outdoor market season begins!

With our new hours on Tuesdays, now you can stop by after work or come downtown on Tuesday evenings to eat at one of the great local restaurants and pick up your favorite items at the market!
Next Saturday’s newsletter will highlight our Saturday vendors. If you don’t see someone on Tuesday you can expect they will be here on Saturday, with the exception of Green Pastures Products and Create 4 Good, who are both taking a break from market this season.

Five-Herb Frittata with Prosciutto and Parmesan

INGREDIENTS
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons water
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon finely chopped mint
1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
1 tablespoon finely chopped chives
1 teaspoon finely chopped oregano
1 teaspoon finely chopped thyme
1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 ounce prosciutto, torn (2 slices)
Coarsely ground black pepper
Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese shavings, for serving
In a medium bowl, beat the eggs with the water and salt. Beat in the mint, parsley, chives, oregano and thyme. In a 10-inch nonstick skillet, melt the butter. Add the eggs and cook over moderately low heat, without stirring, until just beginning to set at the edge, about 3 minutes. Using a spatula, lift the edge and tilt the pan so the egg mixture can seep underneath. Continue to cook, lifting the frittata and tilting the pan occasionally, until the frittata is just set and creamy on top, 3 to 5 minutes longer. Scatter the prosciutto over the frittata and slide it onto a plate. Garnish with coarsely ground pepper and shaved Parmigiano and serve right away.

Tomato and bell pepper plants are now available in gallon pots, large and strong and ready to transplant. Dogwood Valley Greenhouse has four varieties of tomatoes and three of peppers this year.
The herbs and hanging baskets all look great as well. We also have several new perennial friends flowering this week, as well as most of the ones listed the previous two weeks. New this week are coral bells and scabiosa, as well as several varieties of ferns and euonymous or “burning bush.” Don’t forget our beautiful planters for Mother’s Day! " We’re a small, three-generation dairy in Calhoun County, Florida, and we’re bringing back the healthy goodness of whole milk and other dairy items. STRAWBERRY FIELDS
Original recipe makes 6 servingsChange Servings
3/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
salt and pepper to taste
1 pint strawberries, sliced
1 (8 ounce) mixed baby greens
1 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1 small red onion, sliced thin
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
Notes / Directions
1. Whisk the olive oil, vinegar, honey, sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper together in a bowl to make the dressing.
2. Toss the strawberries, baby greens, cranberries, and onion together in a bowl; top with the feta cheese. Drizzle the dressing over the salad to serve.

Founder Kristina Williams has outdone herself with the addition of giant lawn games for our 4th annual. Oh, and there will be a beer garden to match. We are blessed with the dozens and dozens of volunteers who have signed up to make it all happen. Psyched to have the Soul City Sirens helping with land logistics. SUN, MAY 31 – FAMILY FARM DAY … Come meet your farmers at Clyde’s Fresh Produce in Grovetown. Show up anytime between 2pm-6pm to see the goings on at this bio-diverse local farm. Seasonal samples and young farm animals make it all the more fun. Save the date.
MON, JUNE I – RAINWATER WORKSHOP FOR URBAN VEGGIE GARDENS … Join us for another “pop up” food-growing workshop. This one will be held at Bottle Tree Farm in Augusta. Instructors Candace & Nate Zukas will share the nitty gritty details of their own rain barrel system, which waters their beautiful urban farmette. 5:30pm-7pm. $5/person. This one will sell out fast!
TUE, JUNE 2 – FRUIT & VEGGIE RX … Augusta Locally Grown is truly honored to be a partner in the Fruit & Veggie Rx pilot project, a first-ever for the Southeast! The pilot will be hosted and coordinated by the Harrisburg Family Healthcare clinic, funded and designed by Wholesome Wave Georgia, educationally enhanced by Icebox Ministries, academically enhanced by Emory University, held together by Good Neighbor Ministries/St. Luke UMC, and made real by medical student volunteers from MCG. Augusta Locally Grown is the project’s cheerleader. June 2 is the project’s kick-off date! Your donations would be very much appreciated.
SUN, JUN 14 — BLUEBERRY PICK YOUR OWN DAY … Grateful to include the farmers at Herb & Berries Farm of Montmorenci, SC, (near Aiken) in our mix.
